At Progressive Dental we count on our assistants to act as Dr. Salah's second, or even third pair of hands during the day. Between the experiences they brought to our team and Dr. Salah's careful training, they are uniquely qualified to: supervise our sterilization area, expose and develop radiographs (x-rays) fabricate temporary restorations, take dental impressions and mix various adhesives. They also prepare a whole host of dental materials and equipment so that Dr. Salah can provide you, the patient, with outstanding, timely dental care.

Alesha
Dental Assistant
My name is Alesha, I'm 32 years old, I have two amazing kids. I realized I wanted to be in the dental world when I worked in a group home right after high school. The clients in the home had very bad oral health so I wanted to make a difference. I went to Ross Medical Education Center in Brighton, MI, graduated from there in 2012 with a certificate in Dental Assisting. I started working at Progressive Dental Group in September 2012 and have been here ever since. I worked front desk for three years as well as assisting. I really enjoy working with patients and educating them on the importance of oral health and how it affects your every day life.
In my spare time when I am not at the office, I spend a lot of time with my kids and with my parents. We go to a lot of parks and do picnics. I recently adopted a dog (Luna) so we've been doing a lot of walking in Kensington Metropark. We enjoy movie nights and lots of popcorn. My kids and I are avid beach-goers, we go to all the beaches in the summer time.

Danielle
Hygienist
After High School, my love for all things Dental began when I was working as a dental assistant, in my hometown, Toledo, Ohio. My boss at the time encouraged me to further my education and go into Hygiene. I was accepted, studied and received my Bachelor of Science and certificate of Hygiene, from The University of Detroit Mercy, and have lived in Michigan ever since. I married my college sweetheart, Scott and we have 3 amazing children: Kaleb, Chloe and Carson. We are a very active family who love, Jesus, each other, homeschooling, sports and the outdoors. This job affords me the opportunity to love others and help them move toward their health goals by encouraging, educating and participating in the health of their mouths, which is a gateway to rest of their body. Our doctors encourage and contribute to us as an office, staying up to date and utilizing the latest technologies to help facilitate our patients healing. I look forward to the opportunity to work together.
Tina
My name is Tina Rodriguez. I am one of the hygienists here at Progressive Dental. The dental field was always interesting to me. I love the one on one interactions with our patients and helping them achieve oral health. Originally, I was the office manager at the office. It was in my early 20’s, before Dr. Salah bought the practice. After he bought the practice I worked with him for a few years and then left to raise a family. I continued my education, while having my family, and then studied hygiene at WCCC. I came back to Progressive Dental in 2013 as a hygienist. Outside the office I love spending time with family, watching my 3 boys’ sports game and traveling. Raising a family and getting a hygiene degree was very difficult, but something I am very proud of.
